Art Shows
Artist Gautam Mukherjee takes you back to the 1960s with his show Chaarulata commemorating Satyajit Ray´s 1964 film adaptation of Tagore´s 1901 novella Nastaneerh called Charulata. The paintings will be on display from March 21st to April 30th, 2014 at Jamaat in Mumbai.

A path breaking exhibition of Green Graffiti by French artist Jonathan Longuet/Green Riot (France) titled Jungle Me will be on show from March 22, 2014 to April 22,2014 at 6:00 pm at Niv Art Centre, Neb Sarai, Ignou Road, New Delhi. Green Graffiti´s are made from ´algea´ (type of seaweed living on stones), harvested at buildings´ feet, cultivated and applied to a substrate, canvas or a wall. These paintings are like a plant, growing slowly over time depending on conservation´s conditions.

The legendary artist MF Hussain´s Grandson Salamat Hussain presents a photography exhibition titled´25 kilos´ at Gallery 7 in Mumbai from March 27th to April 18th, 2014. The show has been titled´25kilos´ as that is the weight of the equipment carried by Salamat wherever he travels to take pictures.

Delhi Art Gallery presents an exhibition - Indian Divine: Gods & Goddesses in 20th Century Modern Art with about 300 artworks on display. On show from 16th March to 31st May, 2014, this exhibition explores the mythological theme in modern India.

Blueprint 12 in collaboration with Colombo Art Biennale presents The Reading Room, an exhibition dedicated to book art. Artists have been invited to use the book as a medium and explore its tactile, visual, and intellectual qualities. The exhibition will be from 24th to 26th April, 2014 at Alliance Francaise, KK Birla Marg, Lodhi Gardens, Lodhi Estate, New Delhi and from 27th April to 11th May, 2014 at C-66, Anand Niketan.
