Celebrities To Interior Designers!

Oct 07, 2015

Some stars’ interests go beyond the film set and recording studio. Over the years Interior Design has become the most sought out profession for celebrities and their wives. We've picked some of the better known designers from our Tinseltown. glamour-making-it-modern-interior-design-and-decorating-book-by-michael-lassell-for-metropolitan-home 1. Gauri Khan has been a producer, TV host and most recently an Interior designer. Her first major project was her own home - Mannat. She started consulting with Kolte Patil Developers Ltd. (KPDL) on high end projects. The price of these homes range from 70-80 million INR. She also works with Suzanne Khan who's our next pick! png;base64ab9f1f9433b43ae7 2. Many of us have known Suzanne Khan as Hrithik Roshan's wife in the past but, very few of us know her as the daughter of the prolific interior designer Zarine Khan! She obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Interior Design from Blooks College, California, and was with her mother's firm for a while before starting her own venture. In 2005, she shifted focus to furniture design and later in 2011, joined hands with Gauri Khan to launch the furniture boutique 'The Charcoal Project'. In addition to designing her own home with Hrithik, she has also designed Rani Mukerji and Priyanka Chopra's homes. png_base64ab3e5c6af052fb1b 3. Actress Twinkle Khanna is nothing short of Bollywood royalty. Her parents Rajesh and Dimple Khanna were stars of their era, her husband Akshay Kumar is easily one of the highest grossing actors in Bollywood. She herself has had quite an illustrious career as an actress. She quit acting post her marriage to start her own interior design store called 'The White Window'.  She won the Elle Decor International Design award for best 'wall coverings'.  Her style is best described as minimal with a lot of European influences. png;base64b9340d532bbd436e 4. Moving to Hollywood, Brad Pitt, a lover of architecture, formed the 'Make it Right' organization to help rebuild destroyed New Orleans housing following Hurricane Katrina. More recently, the actor has moved into interior decorating by collaborating on a collection with furniture maker Pollaro. main.original.585x0 (1) 5. Before his major collaboration with Jay Z and the 20/20 Experience, musician and actor Justin Timberlake collaborated with Estee Stanley to curate a home decor line inspired by their previous residential design projects.   main.original.585x0 (2) 6. A frequent fixture on shelter magazine covers, Ellen Pompeo has graced the pages of both Architectural Digest and Elle Decor in homes she designed with Martyn Lawrence Bullard. She’s a whiz when it comes to creating and designing, as well as the use of color and importance of texture in interiors. main.original.585x0 7. Our newest addition to the list is Kate Moss! She recently designed a $3.4 Million 'Barnhouse' located in The Lake (a development of secondary luxury homes by design firm Yoo, founded by property mogul John Hitchcox and French designer Philippe Starck).
