Slow growth for the online furniture market in India

The slow growth of the online furniture business has made retailers rethink their growth strategies. Urban Ladder Home Décor Solutions Pvt. Ltd and Pepperfry, the segment’s premier retailers are introducing low priced products and investing in offline stores in an attempt to increase sales. While gross monthly sales at Urban Ladder is Rs 20-25 crore, Pepperfry is at  Rs 40-45 crore. Due to the high margins, the segment is still popular among e-tailers however, the marginal growth has been 1% to 1.5% in the past year.
