The Petersen Automative Museum is given the American Architecture Award 2017

The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design awarded Peteson Automative Museum for its 2017 Architecture Awards.
The Peterson was remodelled a year ago at the cost of $90 Millions. The uniqueness about the renovation project is that it was a retrofit unlike a complete knockdown for a new building. The Peterson stands out because of its radical design on the exterior by architecture firm Kohn Pedersen Fox. The exterior has the look of flowing stainless steel ribbons over the red concrete shell of the building.
