Sunaparanta, Goa Centre for the Arts, is proud to present Sensorium, its annual festival of art, literature, music and cinema. Sensorium was founded by Sunaparanta founder Raj Salgaocar and Siddharth Dhanvant Shanghvi (also Sunaparanta’s Honorary Director). Titled ‘The End is Only the Beginning’, the upcoming edition opens on 19th January 2018 and runs until 1st March 2018.

A constellation of Indian and International contemporary visual artists, some emerging, others museum level stars, from Indian galleries Jhaveri Contemporary, Chatterjee & Lal, Project88, Chemould Prescott Road, Tarq, Vadehra Art Gallery, Experimenter, Volte Gallery as well as International galleries Saskia Fernando Gallery (Sri Lanka) and Fotografiska & Galleri Kontrast (Sweden) will appear in Goa at Sunaparanta.

Godrej Locking Solutions and Systems (Godrej Lockss), the 120-year-young locking systems and hardware solution manufacturer and part of the Godrej Group, has announced that design-led innovation will be one of the core pillars of its business growth strategy along with new product offering, increased reach within domestic market and expansion to several key international markets. The company aims to cross a business revenue of Rs. 1000 crore by FY 2020.

Shades of India Launches Its New Collection – Petals & Roses

------- This is the time of the year when you have the chance to convey your love to your beloved. By February, spring is already in the air. With Valentine’s Day in mind we have thus imagined a woodland setting for our new Home Collection. Amid the trees and sprays of hanging branches, there is a place for romance, pleasure and relaxation. 

The focus is on colours – blues, greens and red combined with the natural tones of the earth. A silk/cotton bedcover in lapiz blue has been contrasted with a quilt in velvet lightly printed in a floral design. The soft layering of the bed gives promise of ease and luxury. Cushions are in charcoal and embroidered in zari and silk cutwork give texture to the layering. 

Another play of colour combines a jade green matlesse bedcover with cushions in saffron worked in a kantha stitch. To enrich the setting, a decorative cushion in a hand foiled gold print embellished with metal sequins and decorative stones have been added.

Shades of India values it’s detailing and small touches distinguish the collection. Bees, often symbols of royalty, have been intricately worked on a cushion. A hand quilted white bedcover has been combined with a cushion in mustard in a jali pattern.

The challenging play of mint with saffron or a mustard yellow with blues and charcoal provides an unusual contrast. The softness of the fabrics gives a feeling of ease and comfort with which to celebrate St Valentine’s Day.
