Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has involved a New Delhi-based private firm in finding non-assessed properties and identifying a change in use, along with a revision of assessment value of properties. The property survey being carried out by the civic body for the first time since 1999 has identified 40,000 new properties so far and officials estimated that an equal number of properties could be added by the time the survey ends. The additional number of properties would be a boon for the cash-strapped municipal corporation. At present, NMC’s revenue from property tax is Rs 86 crore.

India signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Australia for the segments of textiles and clothing segment. The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Australia has directly linked with the Ministry of Textiles to promote their mutual interests in these sectors. The parties to the deal will initiate collaborative deals between dealers, vendors in the segment between the participating nations. The MoU also aims at promoting skill development and training, professional opportunities and economic activities.
Although more than seven weeks have passed for RERA, only 88 companies have filed their projects to the Authorities for review. From this, 72 projects have received a clean chit. From registering financial documents to adhering to the room dimensions, the checking points in place for RERA follow a long list of details that have to be checked thoroughly before submission. The authorities are expecting around 30 thousand projects or more to register by July.

The Astana Expo opened to the public last week in the Kazakhstani capital. The centrepiece of the grounds is Kazakhstan's National Pavilion, designed by Smith and Gill – a glass globe sat atop an undulating glazed podium. One hemisphere of the building is completely see-through, while the other is translucent.The globe is flanked by two matching buildings with two faceted mirrored facade and curving awnings. The Austrian pavilion, designed by Johann Moser and BWM Architects, hosts a range of interactive installations that encourage visitors to use their own bodies to produce energy, including a room filled with stationary bicycles.

Paramount by The Office Space by Woods Bagot and First Peoples by Museum Victoria Design Studio, both of which received the prestigious Award for Interior Design Impact.
