The brief for this 2000sqft was quite distinct- an elegant home, fresh looking at all times. The entrance with a well decorated door with glossy lamination, copper inlay and handle and a semicircular ceiling provided a preface to the home. The circular concept being carried forward in the inside areas too. Seats with tall backs welcome the visitors with a round wooden ring supported by teakwood members, which drop down to frame the seats. The living area door again of the same pattern but larger to welcome into a good rectangular room with circular gypsum cove ceiling combining the circular pattern. A rectangular living room offered simple configuration for seating with minimum furniture items. Circular cove lighting, glass partition(divider between living room and dining) with edged leaf designs, tall opening at windows, the tall door at the entrance, beige marble on the floor and part of the walls added to the grandeur of the room. The dining table is inlaid with rosewood check design on either ends and with lamination the checks and veneer stand out in contrast, A large mirror on one end is bordered with inlay in copper bands. The large window has maple leave sandwiched between glasses to complement the partiion glass on the apartment as viewed from the dining area. Picture frames on the walls and touch of wood in the ceiling glamourize the passage. The lights having copper shades further highlights the artistic touch. Master bedroom is straight forward with clean lines, coved ceiling with veneered panels. The height of the back rest is in line with bathroom door and the paneling at the end. The paneling has a section for family pictures which goes nostalgic. A writing unit in an enclave and a simple TV wall form part of the minimalist nature of the room. The TV wall has behind it the walk-in wardrobes with a huge mirror. The wardrobes on both sides are a combination of veneer and white lamination. The veneered ones once again have copper inlay in zigzag pattern with tailor made copper handles. The grey marble has a break from rest of the house to ensure a contrast and compliment well aesthetically to the finishes around.
